Review For the Scralet Cord by Joan Wolf

The description on the back of the book This Scarlet Cord reads as follows: Within one of the Old Testament's most famous battles lies one of the most tender love stories. Hidden within the battle of Jericho is the story of Rahab, a beautiful and brave young Canaanite woman who aided the Israelites by hanging a piece of scarlet cord from a window. This act of faith changed her life by placing her in the genealogy of Christ. Rahab is the youngest daughter of a Canaanite farmer, taken to Jericho for the pagan New Year so her father can find her a wealthy spouse. Sala, the Israelite boy who had once saved her from being kidnapped, is also in Jericho. When the two young people meet again they admit their love for one another, but their different religions make marriage impossible. Their love story plays out against the background of Jericho's pagan rites. It is only when the One True God of Israel comes into Rahab's life--and she realizes what He is calling her to do--that she and Sala can come together. Witness Rahab as a young woman determined to find her destiny as she follows her heart toward true love . . . and the One True God. I am looking forward to going back and rereading this book at a later date I recived it from Booksneeze to read and review and did not get the chance to read it and enjoy it as I wanted to But do look forward to doing it again and rereading it when things are better for me

Looking for some input ! What is your favorite Scripture

I want some input from you guys ! And it is about Scripture There are a couple of bible verses that really mean alot to me and are very positive and encouraging I am looking for more that are Positive and Encouraging to others to I want to do up a scrapbook page or maybe a canvas board of some kind not sure yet But to hang up with all the different bible verses on it ! So on days when maybe I am not feeling so strong about moving forward and pushing to the next work out or going for that walk any number of things that I can look at it as a constant reminder that I am not alone and that with God all things are possible !! Some of my Favorites that I tend to lean on a good bit are ... Philippians 4 :13 - 10-14I'm glad in God, far happier than you would ever guess—happy that you're again showing such strong concern for me. Not that you ever quit praying and thinking about me. You just had no chance to show it. Actually, I don't have a sense of needing anything personally. I've learned by now to be quite content whatever my circumstances. I'm just as happy with little as with much, with much as with little. I've found the recipe for being happy whether full or hungry, hands full or hands empty. Whatever I have, wherever I am, I can make it through anything in the One who makes me who I am. I don't mean that your help didn't mean a lot to me—it did. It was a beautiful thing that you came alongside me in my troubles. -------- And Jeremiah 29:11 King James Version (KJV) 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end....................................................... Those two mean alot to me for a few different reasons , What about you what are some of your encouraging scriptures ???

Heaven In Her Arms

Heaven in Her Arms: Why God Chose Mary to Raise His Son and What It Means for You I wasnt sure that I my self was going to enjoy this book when I got it from Booksneeze , How ever I couldnt be more surprised at the easy and free flowing way that Mrs Hickem drew you into the story of how Many Mothers Including my self might look at the Life of Mary the Mother or Our Lord and Savior through her eyes ! I have to agree that she does seem to know her Bible Quite well and has a way of making you understand the point that she is trying to get across in this story and how the story of Mary it makes you realize that she wasnt a older lady and that challenges and fears the love of her son that she must have felt watching him grow and face the challenges in his life that he faced and ultimitly being there and watching her Son , the Son of her Flesh be crucified The many emotions she must have felt ! I HIGHLY recommend this book to any Mothers Aunts Grandmothers you name it I know it made me look at being a Mother to my boys in a while different light Id love nothing more to be able to share this book with all the Women that I know and have them all ready it ! A excellent book ! Thanks for stopping By !! God Bless and Have a Blessing Filled Day

Review for Need You Now by Beth Wiseman

I really enjoyed this book alot , This is the first off Beth Wisemans books that I have read and I look forward to reading some more of her books , Need you now is a heart breaking story that draws you into each of the characters that are in the story Darlene and her husband Brad and there children Chad Gracie and Ansely and the famlies recent move from Houston to Big Top a small rural ranch town in Tx , And as Darlenes kids are getting older she finds her self wanting to leave the role of stay at home Mom and enter back into the work force , She finds that her neighbor is a former big time Movie Star and tho it took some time her and Layla became very good friends , I dont wanna give to much away on this but I have to see that Beth Wiseman has written a story that makes you relate to the characters and it really feels real ! Its a very gripping story tho that covers an array of topics in the everyday life as A SAHM , Life as a American Teenager, Friends and Families and husbands and life along with the struggles of everyday life and loss I cant wait to read part two on this one and see how Mrs Wiseman Continues the story !! Check it out if you get the chance !! have a blessed and wonderful day thanks for checking it out !

My Review for Sweeter Than Birdsong By Rosslyn Elliott

First and foremost this is my own opinion I received this book from booksneeze to read and review and my thoughts and opinions of this book are mine and mine alone !

I really wish that I had read the first book in this set first , But that being said ! Even reading this one first I was really pleased with the way the story was written , This is one of those books that when you start reading it you just dont want to put it down !! Kate Winters is a young 18 yr old woman living in the 1800's with a mother who wants to control her life and her everymove ! It's 1855 and Mrs Winters is about to graduate from Otterbein College when she fails to pass the speaking requirement. Given a second chance, Kate is forced to obey her mother's edicts and entertain a wealthy suitor. and try out for a part in a Musical that the soon to be famous Ben Hanby is in charge of ! Frustrated with her family and longing to live a meaningful life, She goes off on with a family also from Westerville to hear her dear friend play at an event ! ,But Kate finds her self on an adventure of a lifetime dealing with the Underground Railroad and helping African Americans escape the bondage's of being slavery , and thats when her life really beings ! I really enjoyed reading this book and would reccomend it to anyone who loves historical fiction ! Mrs Elliott has done a wonderful job of bringing fiction and non fiction together in this story and at the end of the book explains just why she used the people involved in her story and why she was impacted by there story !!

Have a Blessed and Wonderful day and thank you for checking out my blog !!

Three lives are bound by a single book . . . and the cleansing waters of Molasses Creek.

Having traveled to the ends of the earth as a flight attendant, Ally Green has finally returned to the Lowcountry to bury her father as well as the past. But Vesey Washington is still living across the creek, and theirs is a complicated relationship--he was once her best friend . . . and also part of the reason she's stayed away so long. This is a review of the book The Ride of a Lifetime
By Kitty McGregor I was sent this book through booksneeze and the oppions and thoughts on this book are mine and mine alone Thanks for stopping by to check out my review !

I think right from the start this one had my attention and kept me wanting to read it , Lucas McCade is a retired from the PRCA rodeo circuit, And has been given a chance at a do over for many of the mistakes that he feels that he has made in his marriages and his family and with that chance Lucas his wife Hannah and there son Connor make a move from Texas to Oklahoma where Lucas becomes a Scout Rider and finds his self on a ride of a lifetime that his family never thought they would be on together ! This book takes a very unsuspecting twist about midway through the book and It will make you think , The power of prayer and faith and battling good and evil , Wonderful story line if ya get a chance to check it out I highly suggest it !! Have a Blessed and Wonderful Day
